Code of Conduct – Adaptive Intelligence Circle (AIC)

Our Commitment

Adaptive Intelligence Circle (AIC) is committed to building technology that serves humanity, respects human dignity, and resists misuse of power.

We pledge to maintain a community that is:

  • Respectful
  • Ethical
  • Technically rigorous
  • Human-centered
  • Resistant to abuse, coercion, and manipulation

Participation in AIC means upholding these values in code, discussion, and action.

Expected Behavior

All contributors, reviewers, and maintainers are expected to:

  • Treat others with respect regardless of background or status
  • Engage in good-faith technical and philosophical discussion
  • Accept critique focused on ideas, not individuals
  • Design systems with safety, accountability, and human oversight
  • Avoid deceptive, coercive, or exploitative behaviors

Unacceptable Behavior

The following behaviors are not tolerated:

  • Harassment, intimidation, or discrimination
  • Abuse of authority or insider knowledge
  • Introducing malicious code, backdoors, or covert surveillance
  • Weaponization of AIC components against individuals or communities
  • Deliberate obfuscation to hide unethical intent

Enforcement

Violations may result in:

  • Warning
  • Temporary or permanent removal from the project
  • Revocation of contributor privileges

Decisions are made by maintainers guided by ethical review, not by popularity or political pressure.

Scope

This Code of Conduct applies to:

  • GitHub repositories
  • Documentation and discussions
  • Design proposals and simulations
  • Any public or private interaction related to AIC

Final Principle

Power without ethics is fragility. Intelligence without humanity is failure.

By contributing, you agree to uphold the spirit—not just the letter—of this code.
