Inconsistent behavior on IE

The component works flawlessly on Chrome, but its behavior is inconsistent on IE11. Below are the issues that I see :

1. On select : The Data is populated fine from the data provider on the dropdown, but on selection, the item does not show up in the dropdown box unless the user clicks outside or clicks the tab button to move to next form field.
2. When user searches on the dropdown input and selects a value, and click any where else on the page, the dropdown expands again.
   

I have not tried with other versions of IE. But above issues are with IE 11.0.96

Any updates on this? Thinking about using this library but IE11 support is a must.

according to issue 1)
the problem is, that IE does not show the placeholder if the input is focused!

quick workaround: set the value of the input when the onSelect event fires:

component.html

<iq-select2 #selectElem (onSelect)="onSelected($event, selectElem)" ...>

component.ts

public onSelected($event: any, sender: IqSelect2Component) {
    if ($event && sender) {
     (sender as any).termInput.nativeElement.value = $event.text;
    }
}
