Description

Currently texlyre.org redirects to texlyre.github.io. Since texlyre.org seems to be in control of the devs, it would be good to configure a custom domain name as described in the GitHub Pages documentation.

Motivation

I imagine that there is likely a bit more that goes into this since this isn't just a static webpage, but I believe it will make the project look more professional in the long run!

I agree, that would look more professional. However, local storage is scoped to the domain, so all current users would lose access to their existing files.
That said, it's worth pursuing eventually. A custom domain also decouples the project's identity from the hosting provider, so the URL stays the same if we ever move off GitHub Pages. We'd just need a migration plan to handle the local storage transition for existing users.
