I’m experiencing the exact same issue. I’ve been able to set the batteries to charge from the grid when EV charging starts, but once charging is complete, I can’t switch back to AI mode—only self-consumption. |

To clarify for everyone following this: AI mode is not exposed via the local Modbus API, so there's no way for this integration (or any local integration) to switch the system into or out of AI mode. That control only exists within the Sigenergy app and their cloud services. When Remote EMS is enabled — which is required for any local automation of charging/discharging — the plant operates under external control and AI mode is effectively suspended. The closest equivalent for normal operation is Maximum Self-Consumption mode, which is what most people fall back to between forced charge/discharge windows. @kyjoely — the feature request is with Sigenergy themselves, not in this repo. The ask would be for Sigenergy to expose AI mode as a writable Modbus register so local integrations can switch back to it. If you have a support channel with Sigenergy, raising it there is the best path. |

I wanted to clarify if it's currently possible to run in AI mode and also allow manual override for forced charging of battery via this integration?
My use case is in UK on the Octupus Intelligent Go tariff. This tarrif at it's core has guaranteed peak and off-peak windows which Sigenery can see and uses as part of AI mode. However, if you have a compatible EV car/charger that Octupus can control it can give you the off peak tarrif at any moment during the day. So ideally when this happens I would force charge my batteries.
