Listen for USB Devices

I don't quite understand what the "Listen for USB Devices" setting does. Can you explain it? It says it should display a system window. But when I switch the setting, nothing changes except that if the setting is enabled, a "Remember" checkbox appears in the permission dialog.

TBH, there seems to be at least 2 redundant settings that seem to do the same thing, but I'm not sure either. It's weird too because HURev keeps on pinging the usb port where my carlinkit is plugged into but that device is already defaulted to autokit so it gets irritating because of how aggressive HURev is, and there's no way to make it ignore the usb port except to turn off these options to listen or start when the usb device is inserted. If it's off, AA doesn't start automatically either, so I have to connect manually when the settings are off. Unlike HU Reloaded which handled this very well.

However, HURev does have a lot of things going for it. It's in active development, and it has manual settings for day/night, and a keymap that actually works. It's just this usb thing that's driving me crazy. And sometimes the app changes the size of the projection that I have to force close it just to fix it.
