Dependabot's wallet-stack group (#305, now closed) proposed wagmi 2.19.5→3.6.16 (major). Deferred from the 2026-07-08 dependabot debt-sweep because a wagmi major is a migration, not a mechanical merge.
Evidence it needs code work: #305 recreated off clean develop and CI failed on Build + Test & Coverage — wagmi 3 breaking changes vs the app's wagmi-2 usage (payment flow, wallet-connect, RPC config/connectors/hooks).
Scope for the migration:
- Adapt createConfig / connectors / wagmi hooks to v3 API across the payment + wallet-connect features.
- Full payment-flow re-test + exec.iris-test mobile smoke (375×812) on /pay.
- team.shade-ciso co-review before merge (payment-adjacent, Constitution VII).
- Re-evaluate the viem peer pin (viem 2.52.2 taken separately).
