We are committed to a respectful, harassment-free community for everyone, regardless of age, body size, disability, ethnicity, gender identity and expression, level of experience, education, socioeconomic status, nationality, personal appearance, race, caste, religion, sexual identity and orientation, or other protected characteristic.
Project participation includes code, review, issues, discussions, study design, data curation, evaluation, events, and any space where a person represents the project.
- Be kind, precise, and constructive.
- Critique ideas, evidence, software, and methods—not people.
- State uncertainty and conflicts of interest.
- Respect privacy, embargoes, sealed evaluation material, and responsible-disclosure boundaries.
- Welcome correction and make room for people with different backgrounds and levels of expertise.
- Stop behavior when asked and repair harm where possible.
Unacceptable conduct includes harassment, threats, discriminatory language, sexualized attention, doxing, deliberate intimidation, sustained disruption, retaliation, and publishing private communications or restricted research material without permission.
Follow the reporting instructions in the Applied Education Technologies code of conduct. TUM members and guests may instead use TUM SafeSignal for a confidential or anonymous report. Do not include sensitive details in a public issue. Security vulnerabilities follow SECURITY.md.
Possible actions include a private correction, warning, content removal, temporary restriction, or permanent exclusion. Project maintainers cooperate with the applicable reporting process and recuse themselves when they are the subject of a report or have a material conflict.
This policy is adapted from the Contributor Covenant, version 2.1 and the Applied Education Technologies code of conduct.
