Hi everyone — I have been building Rizplay, a new independent Windows app
for selected 3.5-inch Turing/TURZX USB displays, and I would genuinely value
feedback from the people here who know these little screens best.
This is not intended as a criticism of this repository or its contributors.
turing-smart-screen-pythonis an impressive community project and clearlyhelps a huge number of owners. Rizplay is a separate experiment focused on an
easy visual Windows workflow: settings update a live desktop preview, and the
physical display changes only when Apply and Save is pressed.
The first build contains four applets:
typography, backgrounds, weather, and exchange references.
browser players.
temperatures, disks, network, uptime, and processes.
All four support portrait, reverse portrait, landscape-left, and
landscape-right mounting.
This is genuinely the first public build. If people enjoy it and want me to
continue, I can refine it and make it far, far better. I would especially love
to add more themes from this community—with each creator's permission and
clear credit—and learn which devices and features should come next.
It has currently been physically tested only on:
VID_1A86&PID_5722USB35INCHIPSV2The installer is self-contained, free, closed-source, and currently unsigned,
so Windows SmartScreen may show an unknown-publisher warning. The release page
includes a SHA-256 checksum, privacy notes, exact compatibility information,
and the known Alpha limitations.
I would really appreciate honest feedback: what looks useful, what feels
unnecessary, which layouts you like, which hardware you own, and what would
make this worth continuing.
Rizplay is independent and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Turing,
TURZX, XuanFang, this repository, or their maintainers.
