Terminal with input/output?

It seems to me that (the powerful) universe/samples/process/pipes could be a good starting point.

There is a drama in the world of Lazarus: gtk2 is going to be abandoned in many Linux distributions and all widgets that do not deal directly with X11 are affected (and the only they have, fpGUI-LCL is not working).
So, I proposed to my friend Rob to do the conversion of his Lazarus project into a MSEgui one and there is his project: https://github.com/robert-rozee/GFXterm/

(Not sure it is the simplest project to transpose but fun challenge...)
