Use case/Problem Statement
Improve language to help users navigate the platform more easily. There is currently no functionality to allow an administrator to look up a user's existing password. If someone does not remember their password, the only option is to reset it.
Clearer phrasing throughout the UI will help improve understanding and UX.
Acceptance criteria
Suggested change 1: Change label of "Credentials" to "Reset Password"
- "Reset password" is a more clear and accurate description of what you will be permitted to do when you click this button.
Suggested change 2: Change the page name from "User credentials | Username" to "Reset password | Username"
- The current page name could be confused for a login page and the administrator may think they need to enter the current password
Suggested change 3: Change the first text input label from "Password" to "New Password"
Relevant Information
Another possible enhancement is to add a password strength indicator widget. This is in lieu of actually mandating minimum password requirements (e.g. combination of letters and numbers, upper case letter, special characters), which is likely not appropriate for our project contexts. The password strengthen indicator would encourage administrators to use stronger passwords without mandating it.
