Lens - engagement

Hi all, as mentioned on the open office call today (6th April), I am spinning up this thread as a home to manage the Lens grant operations.

Proposed Milestone:

Month 1:

• Generalise neume architecture to facilitate the indexing of Lens @il3ven
• Move neume to new database structure @il3ven
• Initial work into indexing based on an array of pre-determined wallets @neatonk

Month 2: tbc

• Create strategies for Lens and integrate into neume @il3ven
• Create strategies and integrate indexing based on pre-determined wallets @neatonk
• Lens integration documentation @oakgroupworldwide

This is my initial thinking, but please reply if you think that anything should change at all. I will be looking to get this over to Lens by close of play tomorrow (7th April), so that we can look to start the clock running from next week (and therefore receive the first grant payment). Note, we only need to send the first-month milestone this time.

In terms of grant allocation for the first months, my thinking was that dividing the $5k into $4k towards @il3ven and $1k towards @neatonk would be fair, but happy if there are other opinions!

@djfnd It all looks good to me. Is the $15K divided into three tranches of $5K?

Yes exactly, so we would put forward the Month 1 milestones, and receive $5k. And then at the end of the month we provide a summary of progress, the Month 2 milestones, and received the 2nd $5k. etc.

This is pretty vague and should probably be clarified a bit before submitting and committing to it. I don't mind if this gets pushed to the next milestone.

For visibility, I accepted the grant today, with the following email to spell out our targets for this first month:

We are cataloguing the discussion in this thread within our github discussions: https://github.com/orgs/neume-network/discussions/15

The first month's milestones will be across three key areas:

• Generalise neume architecture to facilitate the indexing of Lens - lead @il3ven
• Move neume to new database structure - lead @il3ven
• Initial work into indexing based on an array of pre-determined wallets - lead @neatonk

The first two milestones in this list will result in shipping architecture updates to the neume codebase. The third target is a research stream that will result in a "neuIP" proposal, to be developed through to shiopping as part of the subsequent month's milestones.

Within the github discussion thread you can see the initial thinking as to how these milestones will lead into month 2 objectives.
