How about the development trends of Yii?

I'm new with Yii, so I want to know the development trends of Yii. because I couldn't see if it's used widely.

Because I saw Yii is not used widely in the world yet.

Versions 1.1 and 2.0 are used extensively in many projects including quite big ones. Yii3 is not yet used widely since docs aren't fully ready. But there are some successful production projects running on it. For example, I'm running a weather proxy for Twindo.ai using it and @vjik has some internal admin systems on Yii3.
