Amazing launcher for the games and bought license too for helping your development!
There is bug in xmb view though...
Game list works flawlessy but other lists using touch or controller jumps or lags too much.

Hi @johakovi, thank you for the support and it makes me happy to hear that you like Papaya so far :)

Thanks for raising this as an issue, I'm actually glad that I'm not the only one who can't unsee this 😆 The reason is that the section lists (vertical) are built differently, because they have this gap in between where the horizontal main section list goes. When I built the theme, this drove me crazy to get it right:

• Either I got a buttery smooth animation for scrolling up an down and having a very weird, slow and laggy animation when the an icon floats behind the main section icon to the top
• Or I got a neat transition when it floats to the top behind the main section icon, but a so fast scrolling animation that it's not even visible (It looks like it jumps without any animation)
• Or the scrolling via touch looked amazing, but the gamepad scroll was incredibly bad

So, what you see now is the balance between the first two. You still see there's an animation and it's not too clunky and kind of snappy. When I built the theme, I did not want to spend too much time on this detail to also work on other features, but I wanted to address this later on again.

So, I will definitely look into this again and try a few different approaches to get it right. Especially the "animation" when scrolling via touch bugs me out here.

But also: If you are familiar with Jetpack Compose and have an idea how this could be done, don't hesitate to share it!

But I think your core problem to other vertical listings is rendering problem?
When you move list e.g. apps list, you made permanent code for the jumping over horizontal line.
I think you should change rendering little bit, that when app detects touch input, it stops icons jumping over horizontal line and just makes list rigid to go under horizontal line. When user unpresses touch input, upper icons would jump then over horizontal line. It's little complicated, but interface should split rendering (or rather adapt) to each input!
And obviously text render would be same as it is now, but follows only from bottom horizontal list and ignore from the top, that you can get around rendering bug, where text would be in wrong place! :D

Thanks for the input, that's a great idea! The challenge would be that this does not interfere with the touch input handling of the actual scroll behaviour, but that should be doable by on "reading" the touch event and not fully intercepting it 👍🏻
