YouTube Chat not working without the window popup in the foreground

OS: CachyOS (Arch Linux Based)
Social Stream Ninja Version: v0.3.128 AppImage
Desktop Environment: KDE Plasma 6.7.2
Window Manager: KWin (Wayland)
Desktop App Engine - v0.3.128
Embedded Core - Stable v3.50.3
Embedded Core - Beta 3.50.4

Issue:

YouTube chat is not behaving properly. The main SSN popup window only displays the YouTube chat if the YouTube popup is in the foreground. Once it gets pushed to the background, SSN does not register the chat properly.

I am adding a video demonstrating the issue. I will try to add it in the next comment because GitHub is giving an error saying failed to upload.

Note: No similar issues found in the issue section.

If using the Chrome + Chrome extension, this is expected, as Youtube+Chrome will pause background tab if not visible.

You can try using https://socialstream.ninja/sources/websocket/youtube.html this instead to capture Youtube ; if problems with it occur, let me know.

No. It was the AppImage version of Social Stream Ninja. I am assuming it is Electron based. The other browser popup was there to show how the app behaves if the SSN YouTube Popup is in the background.

Side note: I desire a transparent background of the chat popup, which I have been able to achieve with the App.

So the only workaround is choose force or force overlay in the window settings. Then reduce the YouTube popup size to as small as possible and push that popup to bottom right or bottom left corner. **

This way, a tiny popup will remain on your screen but it is barely noticeable while gaming.

**if possible, try to push your panel to a different location. It will hide the popup even more.

Note: pushing the YouTube popup to a separate window/workflow does not work consistently.

The newest version of the appImage is undergoing testing,

So long as the Youtube chat window is visible, it should work. If there are still issues, I offer the Youtube websocket mode instead, which should not need to be visible to work I believe.

Yes I always use the testing versions, but it appears that the most recent testing version is only for Windows at the moment
