TikTok Live Center (RTMP) connects but chat messages never appear (Join events work)

Environment

• Social Stream Ninja Standalone: v0.4.9 (socialstreamninja-setup-0.4.9.exe)
• Windows
• OBS Studio
• TikTok streamed via Live Center RTMP (not Live Studio)
• Kick connected at the same time

Description

I'm streaming to TikTok using OBS via TikTok Live Center.

Workflow:

1. Go Live in TikTok Live Center.
2. Copy the RTMP server/key into OBS.
3. Start streaming from OBS.
4. Live starts successfully.

Kick and TikTok are both added as sources in Social Stream.

Expected behaviour

TikTok chat messages should appear in the Social Stream OBS Dock and overlays alongside Kick chat.

Actual behaviour

Kick works perfectly.

TikTok connects successfully, but only "Stream Joined" events appear.

No TikTok chat messages ever appear.

The TikTok Live Center chat window itself DOES receive all chat messages correctly, so viewers are chatting and the messages exist.

Social Stream appears connected because it receives join events, but chat messages never reach the dock.

Things already tested

• TikTok mode: Auto
• Kick works correctly
• TikTok source is signed in
• Source activated
• Latest standalone installer (0.4.9)
• Chat definitely appears in TikTok Live Center
• Social Stream receives "Stream Joined" events but never chat

Question

Is this a known issue with TikTok Live Center RTMP streams, or is there another TikTok connection mode/setting that should be used when streaming through Live Center instead of Live Studio?

Happy to provide logs or test anything if needed.

For Tiktok, some times you need to sign in to see all the messages.

If not signed in, Tiktok will only reveal about 25% of the messages; for some other users, Tiktok will block the chat entirely.

In some cases, when using the DOM standard capture mode with Tiktok, I will filter out "Duplicate" messages, but that often isn't what users are mentioning.
