👨🏽‍💻 Software Developer

Hi! I’m Amiel, an inspiring Software Developer with a background in C++ and full-stack applications. The language that I am most proficient in is C++20. My current projects involve building C++ applications with OpenCV and training ML models with PyTorch and displaying the demo of the models in an Angular application. I am also familiar with building backend services with ASP.NET and C#, and frontend UIs with Angular and TypeScript/JavaScript. I’ve also previously worked with React. I enjoy working on either stack or both.

I am currently attending Chico CSU to obtain a Master’s in Computer Science. My previous courses have been Network Forensics, Advanced Object-Oriented Programming with C++, Web Applications, Applied Machine Learning, and Applied Computer Vision.

I recently discovered that I love C++. I built an interactive Text User Interface application with C++ that optimizes a C++ structure size based on its property members. I plan to add features like reading files and visualizing memory layout. I am also currently improving my computer vision application with C++ to annotate driving assistant features to a dashboard and making it fast on an embedded system like the NVIDIA Jetson Nano Orin. I enjoy working with C++ for high-performance software.

In my spare time, I enjoy exploring restaurants, coffee shops, and try recipes to cook. I also enjoy reading books. The current book I am reading is Memories of Ice Book Three of The Malazan Book of the Fallen by Steven Erikson.
