What's the difference between this and Medieval Factions?
Medieval Factions allows players to simulate sovereign nations in a medieval setting. It has a lot of domain-specific features that cater to roleplay servers. In contrast, MiniFactions is intended to be bare-bones and simplistic in its design. Rather than focusing on many features, MiniFactions will focus on features core to group & territory management plugins.
Since we are implementing this from scratch there are also a few key mechanical differences.
For example, territory is implemented in a fundamentally different way. Once claimed, the plugin will remember that the chunk has previously been claimed even if it gets unclaimed. Further, as of right now there is no limit to the amount of land a faction can claim, and the cost of claiming more land increases as the territory size of a faction grows. Storage methods & data access methods are planned very differently as well.
