What's the plan for running the benchmark? Call from shell on production server after this merges?

If this is the plan, then this script probably belongs as a management command. We can later run it on a schedule using Celery (like the Odoo sync) to get regular reports on Solr's health.

Yeah, good call. The plan is to run it with heroku run and just capture stats locally. There's a larger plan to set up more thorough observability after this.
