TexRip is a texture replacement tool for Guild Wars 2. It lets users extract, edit, package, and load custom textures, enabling redistributable texture mods.
TexRip is a spiritual successor to Texmod (Guild Wars 1). It provides a modern workflow for creating and sharing texture modifications, supporting both cosmetic enhancements and accessibility improvements.
During private testing, users reported success tweaking the colors of damage zones and warning indicators to better match specific forms of colorblindness or other visual needs.
Safeguards are included: TexRip is disabled in competitive maps, and there is no option to bulk scan/dump textures.
TexRip integrates into the Raidcore Nexus platform and includes three tools:
Scans textures currently in use around you in-game, including UI textures.
Lets you page through detected textures (highlighted in-game for identification).
Extracts selected textures and saves them as .dds files in the Guild Wars 2 directory.
Bundles edited .dds files into .trp packages (a texture bundle format).
Texture editing is done with external software (Photoshop, etc.).
The .trp format is intended as a successor to the .tpf format used in Guild Wars 1 Texmod.
Loads .trp packages and injects them into the game.
Allows enabling/disabling textures within a package individually.
Supports auto-loading selected mods on game launch.
Most users who only want to use existing mods will only need the Loader.
Download and install Nexus from: https://raidcore.gg/Nexus
Place TexRip.dll into: <Guild Wars 2>\addons
Launch Guild Wars 2 and enable TexRip from the Nexus addon menu.
TexRip is an independent project and is not affiliated with the Raidcore Nexus team. Please do not contact the Nexus team for TexRip support.
TexRip is highly functional but may still contain bugs.
Some textures—especially player character textures such as armor and skin—are dynamically generated and may not be reliable targets for replacement.
