This PR adds picking for contour plots. In light of the conversation earlier today and observing how things work for 2D SVG plots, this is probably not the right thing to do. Instead we should just draw a transparent heatmap under the contour and then snap to data points using that.
@etpinard you asked to take a look at this for your own reference, so here it is.
I don't recommend merging this until we think through how the interaction should work a bit more carefully.
