Install fortune via apt, yum, brew, whatever.
On linux put alan in /usr/share/games/fortunes/
On osx w/ homebrew, put alan in /usr/local/Cellar/fortune/<version>/share/games/fortunes/
Build the dat file:
strfile alan alan.dat
Put the .dat file in the same location as the quote file.
~ $ fortune alan
"Can I just read you something from Top Gear magazine?"
