Summary

Type E explore of NanoNets/Graft (@nanonets/graft@0.10.1) against the ByeByeVibe stack (OpenSpec + GitNexus + Graphify).

Answer: Graft is a better-packaged map of the repo for coding agents. It is not a spec-driven framework and does not replace the kit. Its two graph tiers occupy both layers we already ship (GitNexus code graph + Graphify concept graph). Full graft init also writes AGENTS.md, an always-on Cursor rule, MCP, and Claude Code hooks — the same overlap criterion that discarded code-review-graph and TencentDB Agent Memory.

Decision recorded: Discarded as kit payload / replacement. Deferred as a pattern source only (query-time freshness, staleness statusline, cold-vs-wired SWE-bench methodology).

What Graft uniquely has (UX, not missing capability)

  • Query-time structural refresh (including unsaved buffers)
  • Claude Code statusline with stale warning
  • Prompt-side push of matching nodes + post-edit blast radius
  • Published SWE-bench Verified slice (54% → 66% vs cold Claude — not vs GitNexus+Graphify)
  • Broader one-command host wiring (Gemini, Copilot, Kiro, Windsurf, AdaL, Codex)

Compatibility

Compatible only as CLI-only (graft build / graft ask with --no-mcp --no-hooks --no-agents), which throws away the differentiators. Full init is incompatible with guide §2.5.1 and with a two-graph split of labor.

Files

  • doc/avaliacoes/2026-08-17-nanonets-graft.md — full evaluation
  • doc/avaliacoes/README.md — index row
  • openspec/project.md — non-goal (do not add a third codebase graph)

Test plan

  • Evaluation follows doc/avaliacoes/TEMPLATE.md
  • Index row added
  • Human review of discard vs “optional APP module” if we ever want a SWE-bench bake-off against GitNexus+Graphify

Record type E comparison of Graft against GitNexus + Graphify.
Discard as kit payload (frontal overlap + AGENTS.md wiring);
defer freshness/statusline/SWE-bench patterns without the runtime.
