Hi! Are there plans to look into this? My team is considering utilizing this library (it was created with shockingly good timing!), and having an idea of how maintained it's going to be would be useful. |

This refactor should reduce the risk of mistakes in a scenario in which both of the original functions would have had to be modified simultaneously, as well as being preferable for cleanliness anyway.
