Cadova Viewer is a macOS app for viewing 3MF 3D model files, designed as a companion to the Cadova Swift library for programmatic 3D modeling.
It’s a lightweight, fast viewer that updates automatically as files change, ideal for iterative workflows where Cadova regenerates models on disk.
- Live reloading: Automatically refreshes when the 3MF file changes on disk.
- Materials & Colors: Supports the core 3MF spec, plus the Production extension and colors from the 3MF Materials and Properties Extension, including PBR.
- Split view: Divide the window into multiple independent panes, each with its own camera, cross-sections, and view options.
- Cross-sections: Slice the model with interactive, undoable cut planes to inspect its interior.
- Measurements: Read coordinates and distances directly on the model, with corner snapping and axis constraints.
- Sidebar: Browse the model's parts and measurements, with thumbnails and visibility toggles.
- Slicing: Send the whole model or individual parts to your preferred external slicer.
- Quick Look: Preview 3MF files and see thumbnails directly in Finder.
- SpaceMouse support: Navigate freely with 3DConnexion’s SpaceMouse.
- macOS-native: Built with native APIs for smooth integration with the macOS ecosystem.
Cadova Viewer uses ThreeMF and NavLibSwift.
