Backend & desktop application engineer
Final-year Computer Engineering student at the University of Lagos, building cross-platform desktop software and the backends behind it.
I build cross-platform desktop applications, end to end. Design, code, backend, packaging and distribution as a finished, installable application.
- Desktop applications — Python, Flask, pywebview, Nuitka, packaged as native Windows and Linux installers
- Backend — REST APIs, authentication, webhooks, SQL
- Embedded & IoT — C/C++ on microcontrollers, sensor interfacing, device-to-server telemetry
- Available for desktop app development work. If you need a Windows or Linux desktop tool built and shipped as a proper installer, get in touch.
- Open to backend engineering internships from late 2026 (UK, Canada, Finland, remote)
| Project | What it is |
|---|---|
| Markdown Notebook | Offline markdown editor and note library. Mermaid diagram support, folder workspaces with full undo/redo, Windows Explorer right-click conversion to HTML and PDF, drag-and-drop between library and workspace. Actively developed and released. |
| Todo Desktop App | Cross-platform to-do app in Python, Flask and pywebview, compiled to a native binary with Nuitka. Also an open-source reference for anyone shipping lightweight desktop software on this stack. |
| Arduino SevenSegmentDisplay | C++ Arduino library that abstracts away the multiplexing and pin handling for driving 7-segment displays. |
| RasterConvert | Python desktop tool for batch conversion between raster image formats. |
| Unit Converter | Unit conversion across length, area, volume, mass, time, temperature and energy. Also exists as a Windows application. |

A good deal of my work sits in private repos. Happy to walk through architecture or code on request.
