A visual Home Assistant dashboard card for live solar, grid, home and optional battery power flows. It can switch scenes for weather and configurable holidays while keeping the flow lines aligned.
- Solar and grid sensors; battery, gas and low-carbon data are optional.
- Dutch or English automatically from Home Assistant, with starter translations for German, French and Spanish.
- Holiday scenes on/off, per holiday on/off and editable start/end dates.
- Standard image alignment or your own flow paths/coordinates for a different house image.
- A support button and popup that can be disabled or pointed at another donation page.
- Existing
custom:energy-house-aligned-v47-carddashboards remain compatible.
- Open HACS → Frontend.
- Open the three-dot menu and choose Custom repositories.
- Add
https://github.com/tverweij92/House-Powerflow-Cardand choose Dashboard. - Search for House Power Flow Card, install it and restart/refresh Home Assistant.
- Add a Manual card to your dashboard and paste the minimal example below. HACS installs the supplied scenes with the card.
After adding the card, Home Assistant also shows a simple visual editor for the main sensors, language, battery, holidays and support button. Advanced scene dates and flow coordinates remain in YAML so they stay transparent and portable.
type: custom:house-power-flow-card
title: Energy overview
solar_power: sensor.your_solar_power
grid_power: sensor.your_grid_power
weather: weather.homeReplace the example entity IDs with your own entities. Battery, gas and holiday scenes stay out of the way until you configure them.
modules:
battery: true
battery_charge_power: sensor.battery_charge_power
battery_discharge_power: sensor.battery_discharge_power
battery_soc: sensor.battery_state_of_charge
battery_capacity_kwh: 7Set modules.battery: false to hide it even when battery sensors are present. With auto (the default), it appears only when at least one battery sensor is configured.
Holiday scenes are off by default. This example enables Dutch defaults, keeps Christmas visible for two weeks and disables Sinterklaas:

date_format: european
items:
kerst:
enabled: true
start: "18-12"
end: "31-12"
sinterklaas:

holidays:
enabled: true
date_format: european
ranges:
- name: birthday
image_name: feest
start: "10-08"
end: "14-08"
enabled: trueThe card then looks for feest overdag.png and feest avond.png in image_directory.
Set automatic_images: false and provide a background. For exact alignment, use SVG path strings or simple point coordinates in the image's 1536 × 1024 coordinate system:

The old JavaScript file and card type still work for now. For new dashboards use:
type: custom:house-power-flow-cardAfter installing version 5 through HACS, change only the type line. Your existing sensor settings continue to work. Do not delete the old resource until the new card works on your dashboard.
The project intentionally uses one dependency-free JavaScript file so beginners can inspect it. Pull requests run a syntax check, verify HACS metadata and check the image set. Translation contributions are welcome; see CONTRIBUTING.md.
